Définition
Connexions à bande étroite s’établissent au moyen d’un modem analogique (ligne téléphonique standard commutée), du RNIS (réseau numérique à intégration de services), d’une ligne DSL dont le débit est inférieur à 256 Kb par seconde et d’autres dispositifs dont la vitesse de téléchargement annoncée est inférieure à 256 kb par seconde.

Fixed narrowband internet

Definition
Connectivity for public use via analogue modem (dial-up via standard phone line), ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network), DSL at speeds below 256kbit/s, and other forms of access with a download speed of less than 256 Kbit/s.
