The UIS Glossary includes statistical terms related to education, science, technology and innovation, culture, and communication & information . Some of the entries contain translations in one or more of the following languages: Arabic, English, French and Spanish. Other entries provide more detailed information, such as definitions, calculation formulas for indicators and sources. Indicators are marked with an asterisk (*). This is a dynamic tool, which is regularly updated by the UIS. The Institute welcomes feedback from users. Questions and comments should be sent to uis.information@unesco.org.

Graduation (from an educational programme)
| Definition |
| Successful completion of an educational programme. Note that it is possible for a single graduate to have more than one graduation (even within the same academic year) if they were enrolled simultaneously in two or more programmes and successfully completed them. |

Obtention d’un diplôme (sanctionnant un programme éducatif)
| Définition |
| Achèvement complet d’un programme éducatif. À noter qu’il est possible pour un diplômé d’avoir obtenu plus d’une certification (même au cours de la même année scolaire) s’il a participé simultanément à deux programmes ou plus et les a achevés avec succès. |

| Conclusión exitosa de un programa educativo. Cabe señalar que es factible que un graduado tenga más de una graduación (incluso durante el mismo año académico) si estuvo matriculado en dos o más programas simultáneamente y los terminó exitosamente. |

| إتمام ناجح لبرنامج تعليمي. وتجدر الاشارة الى أنه بإمكان متخرّج واحد أن يتخرج أكثر من مرة واحدة (حتى ضمن نفس السنة الأكاديمية) إذا التحق بالتزامن ببرنامجين أو أكثر وأتمهما بنجاح. |
