Pilot survey

Definition
Survey that is conducted with few individuals of the target population or the sample of a survey, in order to test and refine the survey instruments (questionnaire and instruction manual, data processing manual and programmes) before the main data collection across the target population or the full sample.

Enquête pilote

Enquête préliminaire menée auprès de quelques individus de la population cible ou de l’échantillon d’une enquête, en vue de tester et d'affiner les outils de l’enquête (questionnaire et manuel d'instructions, manuel de traitement des données et programmes) avant de réaliser la principale collecte de données auprès de l’ensemble de la population cible ou de l’échantillon complet.

Estudio piloto

Definición
Encuesta administrada a un número reducido de personas integrantes de la población objetivo o a la muestra de una encuesta, con la finalidad de poner a prueba y refinar los instrumentos de la encuesta (cuestionarios, manual de instrucciones, manual y programas de procesamiento de datos) con prioridad a la recolección final de datos de toda la población objetivo o de la muestra total.
